Carmen DeCristo (b. 1999, North Carolina) is a Brooklyn based portrait artist with a passion for telling and archiving queer stories through her film photographs; exhibited nationwide through a mix of bespoke framed pieces, and made accessible through her ongoing self-published zine series ‘American Girl Doll’- which has sold over 400 copies online and through 3 book tours around the states, connecting queer underground scenes across the country. The ongoing series is acquired and archived by the Library at the National Gallery of Art in Washington DC.
